It turns out this is the reason rice rice cookers must be stirred after ripe

Surely you have often heard that rice that has just been cooked in a rice cooker must be stirred immediately. Most of us do it even though we don't know the cause. Well, it turns out that it is related to rice resistance in a rice cooker, Friend Shopee.

SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATION WHY NATION SHOULD BE BREAKED
Rice in a rice cooker that is not stirred will cause it to stale quickly. Why is that? This is explained in a Facebook post from the ITB professor, Prof. Mikrajuddin Abdullah.

In his post, he explained that after the rice is cooked, there are still grains of water trapped in it. The water will undergo a process of evaporation (diffusion) which takes a long time. This process causes fast rice to stale.

Well, if we stir the rice after it is cooked it will create an empty space between the grains of rice which makes it easier for the water to quickly evaporate out. So the amount of water in the rice will decrease and the rice will last longer.

HOW TO MAKE A BETTER RATE

Besides stirring after being cooked, there are still other ways to make rice more durable, Shopee Friend.

- Add lime or lemon juice
The acid content in lemon can inhibit bacterial growth and make rice whiter. Shopee friends can add a few drops of lime or lemon juice before cooking.

- Add pandan leaves
In addition to lemon juice, pandan leaves can also make rice more durable and add to the aroma of rice to be more fragrant. Add two pieces of pandan leaves or more according to the amount of rice, tear it into two pieces so that the aroma comes out. Then cook rice as usual.

- Do not store rice for too long in a rice cooker
To keep it fresh, it's better for Shopee to not keep the rice for too long in the rice cooker. Especially in the case of a lighted rice cooker. This can make rice dry quickly. It is better to cook enough rice and when it is not used, unplug the electricity.
